UCSB has lost a couple more high performers to professional soccer.
Several days ago, junior Ahinga Selemani was unveiled by Greek Club Panetolikos FC.
Freshman Lamar Batista signed a pro contract with Portland Timbers 2.
While not currently listed on the Galaxy II roster, sophomore Sam Strong is referred to as a former UCSB player by a Galaxy article. Given his prior and presumably still-pending legal problem and suspension from the team, he was not expected to return for his junior year.
We also know that junior Jeff Quezada left the team to enjoy his senior year at UCSB as a student.
It is looking uncertain that Daniel Amo will return. However, there has been no definitive word in the form of a public signing that confirms this as fact.
The hope is that the recently announced trio of transfers, along with the nine previously announced recruits, will bring the requisite talent and experience to win the Big West title and make a run in the NCAA tournament.
